Taoists god/spirits
The taoists do not have a 'god' in the way most religions do. In a Taoist's eyes the universe springs from the Tao, that also guides things on their way. Tao is not a god and is not worshiped by Taoist's, but they do use "god-talk" to refer to Tao. Other than the Tao, Taoism has many gods - most borrowed from other cultures. Many of these gods have a particular role, and have titles rather than names.
More about the Tao
The Tao cannot be described in words. Human language gives hints to the mind to form an idea. How it works in the world is the most important part.Although Tao is not a god, it is not a thing either. It helps to think of Tao as a system of guidance, which is easier to understand and closer to the truth.
Tao has many concepts
Tianguan
A god responsible for good fortune. |

-immortality-
Immortality doesn't mean living forever in your physical body. The idea is that as you grow older in your life you connect more with nature, death is just the last step in having complete unity with the universe.
Wu Wei
Wu Wei is the method of following the Tao. It can be translated as natural non-intervention. Wu Wei means living by the true nature of the world, or letting everything take its natural course.
