Known as the main religious holiday in China. It involves burning paper statues of gods, allowing the spirits to fly up to heaven and report the families behavior. They're replaced with new statues. The Lantern Festival:
A celebration of the first full moon of the year, also the birthday of Tianguan (more information on the beliefs page). On this day, people carrying lanterns walk the street and they release the lanterns into the scare. SymbolsYing Yang:
The most important symbol of the Taoism religion. It represents the movement of the Tao (more about the Tao on the Beliefs page). The black and white dots represent that in all evil there is a bit of good, and in all good there is some evil. It also represents night and day, dry and moist, passive and aggresive, sun and rain, and dark and light. ClothingIn the Taoism religion thereis no "dress code". In earlier times they would be required to wear silk clothing of bright colors.
Taoist TemplesUsually called Guan, Gong, Or Miao in chinese. They are holy halls where Taoists perform religious ceremonies and pray. They are mostly divided into 3 kinds of temples. Palace-like, Ordinary temples, and Simple huts or caves. They vary in size, but are all used for the same uses.
